Welcome to Mondragon Books

Mondragon is a community-supported mostly-used bookstore started in 2009 by Charles Sackrey and some friends, and continued today by Sarajane Snyder and some friends. Read more about the store below. Your comments and correspondence are always welcome.

Mondragon is a community-supported bookstore, which means the community supports us by giving us the books they don’t want or can’t keep anymore. Community folks also support us by buying books and other treasures, giving us feedback, sharing our social media posts, telling their friends to come to our store, and giving us a thumbs up when they drive by on Market Street even if they don’t have time to stop in.

We also LOVE book hunting and go to library book sales, thrift stores, yard sales, auctions and the like to find extra juicy treasure for the store (and you!). 98% of our books are USED books and are priced between $5-$8. There are some that are less and some that are more, but we try and keep the price in that range. It seems like a price that works that win-win intersection—good for us & good for you. We like to run sales and are usually up for haggling, so don’t cry if you think you “can’t afford” a book…

We bet you can.
